Kayak Hire Melbourne

Opening Hours are 9 am - 5 pm (6 April - 5 October) and 9 am - 6 pm (6 October - 5 April), seven days a week.

Location: 12 Turner Street Abbotsford.

Two Types of Hire: Paddling down the Yarra River at Abbotsford and "Take away"

1) Hire down the Yarra River at our base for a 1/2 day (1-3 hrs) or full day (3-8 hrs)

  1. Date
  2. Time (be on time as your kayaks will booked out to other people if you are more than 30 minutes late)
  3. Type of kayak e.g. single, double and how many kayaks
  4. Period of hire e.g. 1/2 day or full day
  5. Return or pick up

2) "Take away" - place on your car (that has roof racks) and take for between 1-10 days.

5.03 m long, fast, skeg, lots of storage (3 hatches). Suitable for day trips and multiple day expeditions in open water. Fastest kayak in fleet.

Single plastic Q Kayaks “SQUA"
5.3 m long, fast, rudder, lots of storage (3 hatches). Suitable for day trips and multiple day expeditions in open water.

Double plastic Boreal “Esperanto”
6.0 m long, fast, stable, 3 hatches, and 220 L of storage. Suitable for day trips and multiple day expeditions in open water, marathons and eco races.

- Esperanto kayaks must be transported on roof rack cradles. Non-Sea Kayak Australia roof cradles (e.g.padding) may be considered inadequate and hire refused.

Double fibreglass Pittarak
6.6 m long, fast, stable, 3 hatches, and 180 L of storage. Suitable for day trips and multiple day expeditions in open water, marathons and eco races.

- Pittarak kayaks must be transported on roof rack cradles. Non-Sea Kayak Australia roof cradles (e.g.padding) may be considered inadequate and hire refused.
