LOCATION: The Gippsland Lakes are situated just past Sale, approximately 3-4 hours drive east of Melbourne.
DESCRIPTION: Leave Paynesville behind and paddle into Gippsland Lakes National Park with its abundant wildlife. Camp at remote Bunga arm and walk along beautiful Ninety Mile Beach. Travel past the coastal town of Metung where there is a good chance to see dolphins at close quarters. Then lunch at Box’s Creek before paddling onto Reedy bay to another remote camp site and a chance to explore the hinterland and beach.
