LOCATION: Lake Tyers is about 20 km east of Lakes Entrance and 4.5 hours from Melbourne.
DESCRIPTION: The area kayaked is from Nowa Nowa township, along the Nowa Arm and into Lake Tyers and finishing at the ocean. Part of Lake Tyers is an Aboriginal Reserve governed by the oldest Aboriginal Trust in Australia. The area is untouched and thus the bird life is amazing and there is a real sense of journey from the hinterland to the sea.
