Nooramunga School Expedition

Kayak from island to island at Noormunga

Nooramunga Marine park is beside Wilsons Promontory National Park. The region comprises of many islands e.g. Snake, Little Snake, Sunday, Clonmel and St Margaret Islands. This area is like a miniature Gippsland Lakes (but with tides and more wilderness). Nooramunga is remote with amazing views over to the east coast of Wilsons Promontory and an abundance of bird life and native flora. The tour takes place along a series of connecting water ways with the main land on one side and sand dunes on the other. The sand dunes act as a barrier from wind and waves coming from Bass Strait direction. Great camp sites and opportunities to explore most islands. Townships that can be observed while paddling along include historic Port Albert, Robertsons Beach and Manna Beach. Great fishing and a real adventure.
