- LOCATION: Tours start at North Wharf—Docklands
- DESCRIPTION: A novel way to bring in the new year is by getting a group together and paddling down the Yarra River to the Docklands and then viewing the fireworks at either 9.15 pm or midnight. You are all in double kayaks so speed, stability and coordination are not a problem. Safety and fun are paramount so the Docklands and Yarra River are great areas for flat water paddling and thus low stress. Because paddling is at night time, kayaks and participants will have lights/glow sticks for easy visibility by other craft. Get up close to yachts, ferries and ships while taking in views of Victoria Harbour, South Bank and Bolte Bridge. Relax while taking in city views from the waters edge. Historical commentary on the old docks is also provided. Once the fireworks session happens just sit back and look up. A glass of bubbly will be passed around. Group bookings are encouraged and group size can be from 4 people to 16 people. Snacks will be provided.
