DESCRIPTION: Get up and close to yachts, ferries and ships while taking in views of South Bank and the City of Melbourne skyline. This kayak tour starts in the city centre, on the Yarra River, where you have a choice of paddling up stream away from the city or paddling into the city hub. Down stream option - Pass the former Customs House, turning basin, Historical ships, former waterfall and "Mission for Seamen". View people in restaurants and bars eating and drinking. Historical commentary on the old docks area is provided along the way. The twlight tour includes the Crown Casino pyrotechnics display at dusk. Or the upstream option of paddling pass Botanical Gardens, MCG and watching people having BBQS on the river bank. Head towards Herring Island for a rest before returning to the start.
Paddling in the afternoon or at twilight is a great way to unwind after work or other commitments.
This tour is designed for people with little kayaking experience and who like to paddle in comfort without waves or sea spray.
The tour is 2.5 hours duration with 2 hours of paddling time.

Discounted pricing for child 12-15 years old is $70, must be in a double kayak with an adult.
