The east coast of Wilsons Promontory has secluded coves that are so beautiful you will not want to leave! Beautiful pink granite rocks, spectacular scenery, marine life, eagles flying above. Stories to tell at night over dinner. The hinterland may be explored or lie in a hammock for a day.
LOCATION: Wilsons Promontory is located about 3 hours drive from Melbourne.
DESCRIPTION: The east coast of Wilsons Promontory has secluded coves that are so beautiful you will not want to leave! Beautiful pink, granite rocks separate these coves. Bring your snorkelling gear for the abundant marine life. Dolphins, seals, sea eagles, cormorants, Cape Baron geese may also be seen on this journey. This is one of the most scenically spectacular areas in Australia. This is a unique, “once in a life time” tour. Camping options are Cattlema's Hut, Johnnie Souey Cove, Refuge Cove and Waterloo Bay. To make it easier to get back in time for work a boat pick up can be arranged at the end point - usually Waterloo Bay or Refuge Cove.
DURATION: 4 to 8 days
INCLUSIONS: All kayak equipment (kayak - single or double, PFD, spray skirt, paddle, pump, spray jacket, dry bags), camping equipment (tent, mat, stove, fuel, plate, bowl, cup and cutlery), Kayak Guide, safety equipment and camp fees. (For a further fee a boat pick-up can be arranged at Waterloo Bay).
(Sleeping bag, food and transport is not included in the price). Although, if required, we can provide a lift for up to 3 people, providing prior arrangements are made and you meet us at our base.
