The east coast of Wilsons Promontory has secluded coves that are so beautiful you will not want to leave! Beautiful pink granite rocks, spectacular scenery, marine life, eagles flying above. Stories to tell at night over dinner. The hinterland may be explored or lie in a hammock for a day.

DESCRIPTION: The East Coast of Wilsons Promontory has secluded coves that are so beautiful you will not want to leave! Beautiful pink, granite rocks separate these coves. Bring your snorkelling gear for the abundant marine life. Dolphins, seals, sea eagles, cormorants, Cape Baron geese may also be seen on this journey. This is one of the most visually spectacular areas in Australia. This is a unique, “once in a life time” tour. Camping options are at Cattleman's Hut, Johnnie Souey Cove, Refuge Cove and Waterloo Bay. So there is plenty of time to explore and relax, a boat will pick you up at Waterloo Bay or Refuge Cove and take you back to the start. Each day comprises of approximately 10 km of kayaking, except day 5 and 6 where there will be time to walk, swim, snorkel and relax.
GRADE: Beginner with good general fitness or intermediate paddler.
AGE: 16 years and above
PREREQUISITE: Must have been on a Sea Kayak Australia Day Tour or 2 Day Introduction to Sea Kayak Course or proof of paddling ability. Must have good general fitness.
DURATION: 6 days
INCLUSIONS: All kayak equipment (double kayak, PFD, spray skirt, thermal top, paddle, pump, spray jacket, dry bags), camping equipment (tent, mat, stove, fuel, plate, bowl, cup, cutlery, pot scrubbers & toilet paper). Boat pick-up at Waterloo Bay or Refuge Cove (all kayaks, clients and gear are taken back to the start at Port Welshpool). Kayak Guide, safety equipment and camp fees. 2-3 Person tents are provided - so you will need to share. If you want to be in a tent on your own then you will need to provide your own hiking tent.
EXCLUSIONS: Sleeping bag, food, water bladders/bottles and transport to the start is not included in the price. If required, we can provide a lift for up to 3 people, providing prior arrangements are made and you meet us at our base.
Paddle into the heart of Melbourne City, along the Yarra River. Get up and close to ferries and historical ships while taking in views of South Bank and the City skyline. Historical commentary is provide along the way. Stop for a delicious Thai lunch and drink half way along the tour, right on the waters edge! Kayak Hire is from Abbotsford - Yarra River (all year round). We supply a trolley and are located just 300m from the water. We are open every day in spring. Great weather this Sunday 10th September 2017. Call before hand to make sure kayaks are available and make a booking.
