Kayak into the heart of Melbourne City, along the Yarra River. Get up and close to ferries and historical ships while taking in views of South Bank and the City skyline. Historical commentary is provide along the way. Stop for a delicious Thai lunch and drink half way along the tour, right on the waters edge!
The start point is the Williamstown Maritime Precinct which is steeped in history. This is a package tour so lunch of fish n' chips and a drink is provided half way through the tour. Tour options include paddling over the channel to Sandridge Beach or paddling along the protected waters of Williamstown foreshore. Get a taste for what sea kayaking is all about without travelling to far out of town.
This tour is a sampler of what sea kayaking is like with out getting too tired and still having fun. St Kilda is a lively coastal Melbourne town, rich in maritime and port history. Observe the cityscape, paddle close to yachts and ferries, see penguins along the break water while taking in views of St Kilda, Port Melbourne and the City. Lunch and drinks served half way through the tour on the beach.
Kayak Hire is from Abbotsford - Yarra River (all year round). We supply a trolley and are located just 300m from the water. We are open every day in spring. Call before hand to make sure kayaks are available and make a booking. Open every day in April and May 2018.
