Explore the stunning coastline — paddle in the sheltered waters of Sandringham Harbour or towards Half Moon Bay or Green Point (weather permitting) and take in spectacular views along Port Phillip Bay.
Choose your own adventure on this self guided stand up paddleboard (SUP) experience exploring the waters of Sandringham and discover your passion for paddling today!
Self-guided hire (no guide) should not be your first SUP experience. If you have never paddled or SUP’ed before we recommend undertaking some instruction or a guided tour. You should also be able to swim 50m and remount if you have fallen off.
No drugs or alcohol before or during the activity.
Duration: 1-2 Hours
We ask that all paddlers arrive at their scheduled session 15 minutes before the start time.This allows for the check in process and will assist a prompt start to ensure you maximise your play time.

Quality inflatable SUPs
Paddle
Life jacket recommended (required by law if more than 400m from shore)
Leg leash - we require you to wear this
What to wear & bring:
Be SunSmart! Wear suitable outdoor clothing that can get wet.
You can take your phone with you for photos, however, we do recommend a waterproof case in this instance. We recommend taking your phone in case you need to contact us in the water. You can find waterproof phone cases we sell and recommend here. Ziplock bags will not suffice!
If you require a dry bag to carry your bits and bobs in you can purchase a lightweight dry bag here. Note that these will not suffice for prolonged immersion - we recommend leaving your car keys with us in the shop.

This is self-guided SUP hire – no instructor or guide is provided.
All participants must complete a Smartwaiver (link will be included in your online booking confirmation)
Outdoor clothing recommended
Prior experience is recommended / Not suitable for first-time paddler
You must be able to swim 50m in paddling gear
You must be able to remount the paddleboard if you have fallen off
No drugs or alcohol before or during your hire session
Please note that if you do not return after 2 hours the water police will be notified. Retrieval fee will apply.
Facilities:
Public toilets, outdoor shower and change rooms are located opposite the Kayak Shop.
Sandy HQ next to the Kayak Shop for coffee & food.
How to get there
Train to Hampton or Sandringham Stations
Bus along Beach Road to stop at top of Jetty Road
Drive and park (paid at metre - credit card or app/Bayside Beach Permit). The parking rarea in front of our Training Centre has a 2 hour limit, other areas can be all day.
