Multi Day School Sea Kayaking Expeditions are one of the most unique form of outdoor education activities available. Testing out navigational, communication, group management, organisation, leadership and camp craft skills. Ideal for Duke of Edinburgh gold and silver awards. Suitable for Outdoor Education and Environmental Science classes and Duke of Edinburgh silver and gold awards. Locations are remote but safe and there is real sense of adventure, challenge and a once off experience.
These tours are conducted in marine coastal national parks and hinterland national parks, so the wildlife is plentiful and scenery is spectacular. Camp at remote sandy beaches, sit around at dinner and chat about the day and watch a beautiful sunset or have a late swim to cool down. During the trip students will go on a journey and have to co-operate and function as a group. Navigation, leadership, team work and camp craft will all be practised. Environmental issue can also be discussed along the way.
Sea kayaking expeditions are unique and each day students will work with and try and understand the elements and adapt.
All sea kayaking venues have been tried and tested many times for safety, access and a well rounded adventure experience.
A training day is usually conducted 1-2 weeeks before hand to familiarize students with how to pack, what to bring and what to expect. Students will also develop there paddling skills. Also refer to FAQ section for schools.
